Representation in cancer clinical trials is crucial for developing treatments that are effective for everyone. However, numerous barriers, including mistrust of the medical system, lack of awareness, and logistical challenges, hinder successful enrollment. Addressing these issues is essential for reducing cancer health disparities and ensuring equitable healthcare outcomes.

Efforts to increase Black participation must focus on community engagement, education, and building trust. By overcoming these challenges, we can improve the representation of Black individuals in clinical research, leading to more inclusive and effective cancer treatments.
